This FREE One Duck Stuck Simplified Storytelling Script is an adapted version of the story by Phyllis Root and Jane Chapman.

 

It is specially written for EFL / ESL kids who are learning English. In this version, we simplify the language used in each rhyme. The adjectives and rhymes are fantastic in the original, but ESL / EFL learners may not be able to identify (or acquire) the key language very easily. Here, we make sure to retain some of the magic of the rhymes – No luck! The duck stays stuck. poor duck! We also include more repetition of common actions and useful phrases.

 

You can use it to prepare for storytelling sessions or even use it as the basis for a classroom play or theatre production.
