Frequently asked questions

Yes, of course! Maybe you have the time and enjoy creating things, but it has to be said that being a young learner teacher can involve a HUGE amount of extra work making materials. Even searching for appropriate images can take forever. Give yourself a break!

All my materials have been tried and tested in the classroom and I have received lots of positive feedback from your fellow teachers. As well as having 20+ years of teaching experience, I am also a qualified trainer for the Trinity TYLEC (Teaching Young Learners Extension Certificate), so you can rely on the quality.

Yes! With preschool and kindergarten children you may need to pre-cut around the puppet shapes, and you will be using the story scripts orally, but they will still get a lot out of the speaking and craft activity.
With older children, you might want to challenge them with the picture prompt or invent your script sheets.

There is certainly plenty to cover between 1 to 3 lessons with this resource. I’d recommend adding the picture book or a video of the story too.
The Activity Suggestions give you plenty of ideas for how you can structure your lesson(s).
