Story books – Stories with a storyline

The following story books all have a clear storyline and follow the typical structure of:

  1. Introduction of the character
  2. Introduction of the conflict
  3. Complication
  4. Crisis
  5. Climax
  6. Resolution

These kind of books are fantastic for exploiting all sorts of themes and language. You could explore the characters; the setting; the dilemmas or everyday problems that arise; the feelings they inspire at the different stages, and many more things. They are also great for working on key language that appears in the stories and many of them work very well as mini-dramas or roleplays.
